Payer Account Manager - US
The Payer Account Manager (PAM) is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the relationship with assigned accounts, including Medicare Administrative Contractors, Medicare Advantage plans, regional commercial payers, and other government payers. The PAM will represent LMI’s Neuraceq® product and be responsible for ensuring appropriate market access within assigned accounts and will serve as Market Access point of contact to the field sales organization. The responsibilities below do not represent the entirety of the role but rather an overview of some of the key tasks. This position is fully remote, with up to 50% domestic travel and will be in the Eastern Time Zone.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and leverage an expansive network of relationships with key managed markets and individuals within target payers
- Collaborate across multiple internal channels, including medical leadership to implement and execute Market Access Strategy
- Identify opportunities to demonstrate or provide value to target payers and work with internal and external partners to develop and execute on these opportunities
- Anticipate potential obstacles within target payers and bring together all appropriate stakeholders to proactively develop mitigation plans
- Leverage all applicable marketing tools and resources to educate target payers on Neuraceq®, associated diseases, and the value that these products provide
- Create and maintain detailed account plans for each target payer and present these plans during regular business reviews to Head of Market Access
- Prioritize and define target payers including local Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs), Medicare Advantage (MA) plans, and commercial insurers
- Collaborate with MITA and other consulting agencies and alliances to strategize, plan, increase coverage, and clarify coding discrepancies
- Understand coding and pull through parameters, while ensuring full legal and regulatory processes are followed
- Master and adapt delivery of approved Value Proposition
What we expect:
To be successful in this role, you must be able to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive and ever-changing industry. The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA in relevant pharmaceutical area of study and 3-5 years of experience as an Account Manager calling on commercial and government payers. Have a demonstrated understanding of healthcare, payers, formulary/PDL development, coverage & reimbursement issues, and compliance laws and regulations.
