Accounting / AR Specialist – US
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist will be responsible for supporting the financial and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate accounts for the US business functions. This position will cover all clients across the US and work with Finance department located in Berlin, Germany and therefore, you must be flexible to work outside the normal business hours when needed to support other time zones. This position is fully remote and would ideally be located in the Eastern or Central Time Zones.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Proactively contact customers via vary methods to secure payment of overdue accounts and keep records up to date.
- Thoroughly assess risks related to new orders. Participate in the development of a risk management toolkit and implement a risk reporting framework.
- Consistently address customer queries within 24 hours, liaising with relevant departments if necessary.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Participate in the development of liquidity planning and cash forecast process.
- Develop a treasury management system for the further digitalization of treasury processes in close cooperation with the entire finance department.
What we expect:
To be successful in this role, you must be able to handle working in a fast-paced, time sensitive and sometimes stressful role while maintaining strong attention to detail, with new and routine tasks. The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA in related field and 2-4 years of experience within the accounting field. Further direct experience with AR will be considered in lieu of education. Experience with MS Office and SAP would be an advantage. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet goals within deadlines.
